Here at SeeKenya, we’re thrilled to share another exciting development for our Board of Trustees. After nine trips to Kenya and countless hours supporting the charity in many other ways, we are proud to welcome Tommy Stevens as the newest member of our team.
Tommy is a devoted dad of two, grandad to one, and a passionate classic car enthusiast. Recently, he has dedicated much of his time to raising funds for SeeKenya, playing a vital role in securing grants that help sustain our mission. We are incredibly grateful for Tommy’s unwavering commitment and have no doubt that his passion for transforming lives in Kenya will be a tremendous asset to our trustee team.
When asked to describe himself, Tommy shared:
"I was raised in Lindfield, Mid Sussex, and now I’m living near Bournemouth. I’m passionate about Jesus and love all things classic cars. I grew up on a mixture of sixties music and Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club and today they still play a part in my life. Over the years, I’ve spent countless hours restoring everything from E-Type Jaguars to Morris Minors, however, I now spend my time working on practical jobs around the home and walking our dog, Tilly."
Tommy also reflected on his journey with SeeKenya:
"My journey with SeeKenya began in 2018, and from that very first trip, I was both amazed and inspired by the life-changing impact of the work, so much so that this October will be my 10th trip. It is with a real sense of excitement that at the beginning of 2025 I stepped into the role of trustee. I feel incredibly honoured to be part of what God is doing through SeeKenya and to work alongside such wonderful and committed fellow trustees and faithful volunteers both here and in Kenya. I am overwhelmed by the level of support SeeKenya receives from both individuals and businesses alike. This is such an exciting and pivotal time in SeeKenya’s story, as we approach the final phase of refurbishing our newly redesigned eye clinic in Meru, Central Kenya."
Please join us in praying for Tommy as he takes on this important new role. We look forward to the incredible impact we will continue to make together.
