10 ways to get involved with SeeKenya and have fun!

If you’re looking for ways to have some fun – and have a positive impact on someone else - then have a look at these ideas. None of the work that we do at SeeKenya is possible without the crucial support of people just like you, so here is some inspiration for how you can do just that!

1. GET SOCIAL

Doing something good is quite literally at our fingertips with the use of social media! Why not spread awareness of SeeKenya on your own platforms? You can find us on Facebook @SeeKenya and our brand-new Instagram page @seekenyacharity.

2. LINK UP YOUR BUSINESS

We love partnering with businesses to further our work as a charity. Why not get in touch with our team to see how we can join forces together?

3. INVOLVE YOUR SCHOOL

We’d love to hear from you if you’re a teacher/an educator or a parent/carer who is keen to support SeeKenya through your local school community.

4. DONATE YOUR BIRTHDAY

Simple yet effective. You can create a Facebook or Instagram Fundraiser specifically for SeeKenya and ask your friends and family to donate money that will go on to literally change lives. If it’s a special birthday (like Mandisa, pictured, who created a Facebook Fundraiser for her 50th birthday), you can always ask people to donate that specific amount! It's so easy, and we've even got a handy guide to help you set one up.

5. HOST AN OFFICE FUNDRAISER

Working from home is the reality for many of us right now. But could you get the office together over Zoom to host a fundraiser? From a coffee morning to a team quiz to a fancy-dress day, there are so many possibilities!

6. SUPPORT US REGULARLY

Commit to the vision and mission of SeeKenya by setting up a direct debit or standing order to partner with us in the long-term.

7. GET UP AND GET OUT

There has never been a better time to get active and outside (or you could do it from the comforts of your home!) and raise vital funds at the same time. You could get sponsored to take on a running/walking/cycling challenge, or even climb your stairs to add up to lofty heights! From 24 hour blindfolds to Half Ironman Challenges, there are so many possibilities.

8. ZOOMS AWAY

Zooms are a great way to gather friends both local and far way. So why not gather a group of friends and host an evening of catching up and raising money too? You could host a quiz, cocktails or even a FIFA games night!

9. PRAYER

We believe in the power of prayer underpinning all the work that we do. If you’d like to receive our WhatsApp prayer updates, you can sign up here.

10. TELL A FRIEND

If every person that read this decided to share our work with a friend, we could have double our current reach - if it was just 50 people, then 100 people can get involved with SeeKenya!

If you have an idea and want to discuss it with us, or if you have any questions, we'd love to hear from you! Please do contact us at fundraising@seekenya.org
